Dance Around the Golden Ball

The golden ball is full of holes
and hollow darkness.
It claims to possess the light
(which is behind us)
and distracts from the colorful life
in front of us.

Those filled with hollow darkness
dance around the golden ball,
call it sacred names,
pledge faithfulness and obedience
and pray to be blessed with a piece of light
and a color or two of life.
