The Modern Play of Life
Live gives
neither a promise to be good
nor a threat to be bad.
It merely puts us on the stage
(with but one exit)
provides beautiful decorations
and suggests our lines.
There are no repetitions.
The play is a tragedy
with a comic theme
where people
search for meaning
instead of unity.
“The art of speaking to nature is listening.”
