A Kiss of Light at the Top
The light finds its way through the forest foliage to kiss the top of a young pine. We see how the small branches in the light raise their arms in joy. The rest of the plant hangs sadly. Some branches wither away in the shadows.
Not a very subtle metaphor, is it?
“Every denial of truth is a detour in the soul,
but it doesn’t matter much to those who aren’t going anywhere.”
