What the Fuck?
What is it with all these people (intellectuals/academics) that can’t spell the word fuck? Whose delicate feelings are they protecting with their asterisks (*), dashes (-) and other non-alphabetical symbols?
Fuck is one of the most common words in the English language. It googles in at 275 000 000 hits. The spoken langauge has a far greater frequency. Whose rules are these f**k-distorters following?
Fuck has no literal meaning as an expletive. It merely injects an emotional hyper-charge into an expression. This self-censor begs the question, what else are they self-censoring? How far does their obedience to formal taste, to the niceties of the ruling order, extend?
Were they concerned with diluting ”bad” words, they should also write:
She was r*ped.
They t*rtured him.
The m*rderer showed no regred.
Etc.
This linguistic travesty is irritating; even to those of us who don’t use invectives.

until only two words remain:
Yes, master!”
