The Illusion of Confusion

Confusion
—extreme uncertainty—
embraces the citizens.
Fear oozes
—sweet, sticky and troublesome—
from their knowledge without understanding
hardening to spikes
puncturing the veneer
of a reality without context,
law without justice,
pride without integrity
and beauty without harmony.

Confusion
saturates their existence.
Their longing limps with bent back
but clutches a belief
that continues to glow
despite the cold,
the darkness
and the lack of spiritual fuel.

The confusion is an illusion.
The winners of the money-oriented way of life
spread the confusion
to blind the vision
of a people-oriented way of life.
It’s as simple as that.
Ain’t nothing confusing about it.

We
the people, humans and citizens
must start to build
a peaceful, harmonious and just
people-oriented way of life
for everyone
or perish
in the swamp of confusion
created by
the greed-diseased winners
of the money-oriented way of life.
