Blue Tuesday in Black and White

A hardworking man,
an honest man,
lost the protection
for his right hand.

Lots of people have lost lots of things
from expensive dreams to dirt-cheap rings.
Some speaking from prestigious highs
have lost their honor with assorted lies
about honest souls who lost their lives.

The sun keeps feeding us warmth and light
while we gather things for an eternal night
’cause the hand said to protect us
doesn’t seem right.
