Respect the Sacred
Many definitions and etymologies
of the word religion.
The Latin
“respect for that which is sacred”
(religionem)
works for me.
What is sacred?
A book? A building? A symbol? A place?
A WORD!?
I make it simple for myself…
LIFE IS SACRED,
anything not living, inorganic, cannot be.
Obviously
not all life is equally sacred.
Mosquitoes, earwigs and poison mushrooms
for example
do not get VIP-seats at life’s drama.
Homo sapiens do
and Homo sapiens values
guard the sanctity of Homo sapiens life.
Love – Truth – Justice
the trinity of values
guard the sanctity of Homo sapiens life.
Have mercy!
And may health and beauty
decorate your struggle
to make a garden of the earth
where bird songs blend with laughter
and smiles reflect the light.

”A country that persecutes truth-tellers cannot wear a democratic label.
It can be called a tyranny.
And, if it criticizes other countries,
be qualified as a hypocrisy-class tyranny.”
Dartwill Aquila
