Flames of the imagination
I wonder how far Hitler would have gotten
if he had enlisted the support of the Jews
instead of trying to eliminate them?
He probably could have built an empire,
had military bases throughout the world,
controlled governments,
international institutions
and the minds of 100s of millions of people.
So foolish of me,
the superior Aryan race
could never have cooperated with the chosen people.
Nicht wahr?

Isn’t it all!
A nice irony Fantelius, but I was under the impression that Americans didn’t understandable irony. Well, there’s an ironic turn up. Also, how much more could the U.S. achieve on the international stage if its foreign policy could be based on cooperation with other countries perceived as threats, instead of confrontation, but that’s not going to happen anytime soon, is it?
The majority of people who read this blog are not Americans, but I don’t think Yanks are more or less ironically inclined than other people.
As to how much could be achieved by a world characterized by cooperation instead of conflicts, we could turn the world into a garden of beauty and prosperity. But that’s not going to happen as long as we’re locked into money-based priorities and neglect the needs of people who are seen as commodities.
