Don’t Speak Truth To Power

How often have we been encouraged to speak truth to power.
You may as well speak bananas to an apple tree,
or spinach to a fox,
or honesty to a politician.
Power understands power
and money.
Speak truth to those who listen
about how to unite the power you have
to promote truth
and take power
from those who don’t listen
to truth
or people
or the whispers of flowers
talking about fruit.
