Balls the Size of Footballs

A true hero stepped forward by remaining seated. Everyone else in the stadium stood up to honor a flag. Colin Kaepernick, a key player, did not.

The reaction couldn’t have been more fiery if he had detonated a belt of explosives around his waist. The media and the fans attacked him with verbal passion worthy of the worst football hooligans. Colin had committed the audacious crime of remaining seated when everyone else stood to honor the symbol of the nation.

Colin speaks for many people besides the media pundits and the intellectual hooligans.

I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. … There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder. ///
I am not looking for approval. … If they take football away, my endorsements from me, I know that I stood up for what is right.

How many people would put their career on the line and sacrifice millions of dollars to do what they believe is right?
