War’s Spectators and Warriors

We’re at war.
It’s not a game, show or play,
but a war.
A war for the survival of humanity.
Now, today.
And what’s left of the future.
Ain’t nothin’ more serious.
A matter of life and death.
For everyone.
I don’t know what else to say,
how to get it across.
We either fight this war
or march
into the arms of extinction.
You don’t believe me?
You don’t want to hear this?
That’s your choice.
It won’t save you.
History is omnivorous.
It eats rags and high fashion with equal appetite.

We are at war with the winners
of the money-oriented system of society.
These people have no other choice
but to keep the system going,
keep amassing money from everyone else
and controlling the resources of the earth
or lose their position and wealth.
They have no other choice
than to war on the great majority of humanity
and the environment,
the air, the water and the earth.
They pollute babies,
contaminate youth,
poison adults
and impoverish the old.
For profit.
They have no choice.

We have a choice.
We can unite to share the wealth of the earth
to provide everyone with their needs
and protect freedom, peace and justice
to allow everyone
to pursue their dreams.
We can unite to enforce
a people-oriented system of society.
We can unite to resist and weaken
the people who have no choice
but to take what we have.
We can unite, help each other,
avoid their products
and deprive them of their profits.
We can unite as humans
and avoid the trappings of race, nationality, religion
or any other superficiality dividing our strength.
We can unite to do what we can
to do what needs to be done.
We can become warriors
to fight for the rights
and needs
and love
of humanity.
We can unite
as warriors without weapons
to fight for a world without war,
a world where money doesn’t determine
the quality of a rich life,
where we amass
truth, justice and beauty
as the profits of our endeavors,
a world where desire for things
wilt in the light
of love of life.

“The Devil also works in mysterious ways.
Judging by his success,
he seems to be mysteriouser than his antagonist.”
