Democrazy Plutocratic Democracy

LifeFindsAWay9A9093

If the word democracy doesn’t mean rule of the people or rule of the majority it doesn’t mean anything. Yet it is employed daily to describe societies where a tiny minority of the richest people rule. Hardly a secret. Nor should it be a secret that it is the tiny minority that most frequently uses the word democracy to describe its (plutocratic) rule.

The other day historian Timothy Snyder was given an entire page in Sweden’s largest ”serious” newspaper (Dagens Nyheter) to discuss tyranny and the threat to democracy.

According to Snyder, ”Trump can destroy American democracy if he doesn’t encounter strong resistance.”

I’m going to whisper my reply so that I don’t disturb the sensitivities of Snyder, his peers, the newspaper or its readers:

If there was any democracy in the USA Trump would never have become president.

I don’t need to whisper that again, do I? The American people were given the choice of voting for two representatives of 1% of the population, the richest 1%. The entire government, The Congress and The House of Representative, are with few exceptions members of the 1%. The laws and policies legislated by this government favors the 1% who grow richer and richer while the people, the majority of citizens, grow poorer and poorer.

Pray tell, Snyder (and the rest of the delusional or lying authorities who constantly take the name of democracy in vain), how can Trump destroy something that doesn’t exist?

I will, in normal voice, repeat that as a closing statement,
Pray tell, learned ladies and gentlemen, how can something that doesn’t exist be destroyed?
(It can only be created.)

The a-empire is an a-hole of the Universe; nothing but a crap-shute. Of course the pun’s intended.
