The Empire of Homo Sapiens

The Homo sapiens in a decaying empire rot with fear.
They hear noise,
see slime,
taste bland,
smell stale,
feel empty,
think not.
They fear.
Their world is contaminated with ignorance,
polluted with lies,
depleted of compassion,
littered with plastic traditions,
crippled with frustration
poisoned with hatred
and infested with greed.

But there are those in touch with the holy force of life
who are drawn by the pull of love,
filled with empathy, tenderness and passion,
and oriented toward the light,
Armed with the lessons of their ancestors,
they pledge to honor truth,
and commit to the victory of justice
and the promotion of beauty.
These champions of Homo sapiens’ core values
have roots deep in history
and are dedicated to the needs of community.
Their delicate flowers have strategies stronger than steel
and their seeds can fly far and wide
on the gentlest breeze.
They own the future
and are coming to claim their right.
