Red Decay

The hieroglyphics of decay

tell of dancers and of prey

of those who run and those who stay

and those with nothing but words to say.

They tell of those who suggest a way

and of those who seek safety in obey.

They tell of a world served on a tray

with blood and grass above the clay

to remind us of things that are not OK

if there’s to be a tomorrow with another day.
