(This is the 11th in a series on racism that appears on the 20th of every month.)
Zealots (fanaticas, bigots, extremists, lunatics) try to prevent people of different races, nations, beliefs or cultures from joining together. They condemn love between people who are not similar and try to prevent it. They wish to rule love in the name of righteousness, holiness or purity.
The word zealot stems from a Greek word meaning jealous. A zealot is either black with jealously or green with envy. What is the color of love? The color of life, a kaleidoscope based on a rainbow.
“Your kisses taste like rainbow nectar.”

Barkley shows his face because wants us to see him so that he can talk to us. He’ll give generously of his wisdom to anyone who approaches him with respect. But it takes time.
Oh, you don’t have the time!? Excuse me, I’m sorry. So foolish of me. I assumed that you were interested in life and nature. I should have realized that you have more important things to think about.
Barkely won’t mind. He’s used to it.

OK, I admit it. I’m a Gramineaphile, that is to say a lover of grass. Grass is the dominant vegetation in many parts of the world and the basis of nourishment for many animals and insects. The words growth and green are both derived from the ancient Germanic word for grass. There would be neither lawns or golf courses without grass.
Grass has a special relationship with the wind, that is the major source of its pollination. A swaying field of grass plays like a symphony of love where the graceful beauty of the flow sings of harmony.
Grass is a favorite child of the earth, the sun and the wind. Water does all it can to reach its roots.
When you think of all the grass in the world, you’ll realize that gramineaphiles are great lovers.
“Because the earth has class, she never says, Kiss my grass.”

Pistago is a green nut. The green represents naivety, lack of judgement. It’s not that Pistago lacks experience, he’s just nuts. Although he has limited vision and prefers to live in a shell, he can still see what’s going on. The officials have been taking his salt. Now that he’s nearly tasteless, he appeals to the officials to give him back some of his salt. In other words, he asks those who are taking from him to give back some of what they have taken. How naive can a nut get?
“Appealing to the heartless to show compassion,
is like appealing to the fox to become a vegetarian.”

The end…
The way that humanity consumes resources and changes the environment threatens its very existence.
The unwillingness to recognize this possibility strengthens its tendency.

(Phiotos and texts from the book System Humanity)
… or the beginning?
Humanity has the ability to create a healthy and thriving society in harmony with the conditions of the earth. The unwillingness to support this possibility hinders its chances of success.
“Perhaps you worry about the future unnecessarily. Perhaps there won’t be one.”

“Even a superficial grasp of the universe
tells us how insignificant we are.
Understanding humanity teaches us the magnificence of our insignificance.”

I’m gonna curl my feathers and paint the tips of my wings.
I’m gonna pierce my beak and wear gold identity rings.
On my breast I’ll get a tattoo, “Cats just ain’t my thing.”
and do my tail in the style called Party Flyers’ Fling.
I won’t be able to fly and I won’t be able to sing
but everyone will see that no one pulls my strings.
Pling!

It was just one of those days
when the sky tolerated no clouds
and the breeze wouldn’t put up with any discomfort,
when leaves drank themselves silly with sunshine
and fragrances vandalized thoughts of prudence.
It was one of those days
when life took you in her arms
and whispered promises
too pure to be disbelieved
and so sensuous
that your soul blushed.
“When was the last time you thanked life for her gift?”

Carlos Amador, who help generate the success of the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, said, ”A friend is someone who criticizes you to your face and praises you behind your back.”
I call such people solid rock friends. They are invaluable. One such friend wrote recently that she didn’t understand my 37 word novel posted on June 17. Such wonderful feedback. My writing is unreadable. If she can’t understand it, I doubt if anyone can. Obviously, I failed. Without her comment, I wouldn’t know.
Here comes the entire novel and an explanation of what I attempted and failed to accomplish:
The novel:
He preferred devils in heels to naked angels and wound up in hell. After falling for a fallen angel he ripened for the bare truth. Together they rescued each other and escaped to the wilds outside paradise.
First of all I plead guilty to insanity. Who in their right mind attempts to write a 37 word novel? A satirist!
The first line says that all too many men choose superficial glitter, glamour and glitz over pure honest content. And wind up in hell, that is to say, a bad relationship. After that he meets a fallen angle, a good woman who’s made some serious mistakes. Together they find basic truths through love, escape from the prevailing norms (that promote superficial glitter, glamour and glitz) and live happily ever after in reality.
In my not-so-right mind, I saw this ”novel” as a satirical summary of many 15 000 word novels enjoying popularity. I failed. But thanks to a solid rock friend, I’m back on my feet and ready for new adventures. Some of which will fail.
Thanks Milojka!

Easy, my pet! It’s not time to go down there and give a few people what they deserve. Soon enough we’ll swoop down and give them all what they deserve.

– Why not?
