A Holy Passion for Ignorance and Suffering

God, who was all powerful and ruled the world, allowed his son to be tormented, tortured and crucified. What kind of a father is that? Who allows his kid to suffer wretchedness and pain culminating in hours of anguish until death?
Claiming that he did it for our sins doesn’t make things better.
Was that the only way he could deal with the problem? Was that the best solution this infinitely wise person could come up with? Because people were sinners, he would let his son be tortured and killed to help them. I’m getting sadist vibes off of that. And it’s not the first time.

Look how he treated Abraham. He demanded that he kill his son to prove his obedience. Talk about a sadist on a power trip. He seems to have been on a power trip since the beginning. When he had created the first two people, he had one command, ”Don’t taste knowledge!” He demanded that the two people remain ignorant and obedient or he would see to it that they suffered.

And you want me to pray to this guy and show him reverence. Thanks but no thanks. I’m already ignorant, obedient and suffering as a citizen of the North Atlantic Empire. What do I need your god for?
