This is Afazutti. He/she was created by nature’s artistry applied to human construction. Afazutti provides psychological insight as keen as those produced by Rorschach’s inkblots. No analyst need be consulted. Or paid. You need no appointment and you can come whenever you like as often as you like.
Talk to Afazutti! Be patient. If your heart is honest and your soul courageous, you will be told what you need to know.
Be sure of one thing, Afazutti will never lie to you… or prevent you from lying to yourself.
As a rule, the better your question, the better the answer.

Prophets, heroes and champions of the people appear everywhere at all times. In Biblical times they were referred to as sons and daughters of God, a common metaphorical term of respect. Jesus was praised as THE son of God instead of A son of God because of the exceptional quality of his teachings.
Lynne Stewart must be a sister of Jesus because the (metaphorical) title A daughter of God fits so comfortably on her person. She has spent a lifetime fighting for and defending the poor, the suppressed, the discriminated and the downtrodden. Despite her professional training as a lawyer she never abandoned the trenches in the battles for justice.
Like her brother, she is being crucified by rulers who want her out of the way. 73 years old and cancer ridden, she is chained to her bed in a prison in Texas far from her family and friends. Her crime? The formal reason was that she improperly represented a prisoner. A prisoner who the rulers didn’t want represented. The informal reason was her clear, eloquent and bitter criticism of the rulers.
Or, in Lynne’s words:
We have in Washington a poisonous government that spreads its venom to the body politic in all corners of the globe. There is a consummate evil that unleashes its dogs of war on the helpless. Our enemy is motivated only by insatiable greed, with no thought of other consequences. In this enemy there is no love of the land or the creatures that live there, no compassion for the people, no thought of future generations. This enemy will destroy the air we breathe and the water we drink as long as the dollars keep filling up their money-boxes…
You can protest Lynne’s treatment and imprisonment here.

This is an essay. It is NOT FOR DUMMIES. Therefore, I’ve posted it on a separate page so as not to disturb the Dummies or their friends the Sillies, Vanities, Bimbos, Himbos, Fundos, Pundos, Likeos and Status Quo Devotos.

Three weird sisters/witches set the opening scene of Macbeth. They sum up their dialogue in chorus:
”Fair is foul, and foul is fair:
Hover through the fog and filthy air.”
Translation
”Right is wrong and wrong is right
in our confusing times filled with deceit.”
Shakespeare was trying to introduce the ”wirde” (destiny) sisters of Nordic mythology. The audience had no idea what weird (or wyrde) meant, but judging from looks of the three sisters/witches (who, at the time, were men dressed as women) they adopted the word to mean something strange indeed, and ”weird” entered the English vocabulary.
Because Shakespeare could capture universal human behavior, his plays still enjoy contemporary appeal. Macbeth exemplifies greed for power. If we replace power with money, we can witness the same greed today in our confusing times filled with right-is-wrong and wrong-is-right deceit.

justice tied to money’s tools

Yesterday’s picture is of a mother and daughter. During a walk the daughter demonstrated a new workout routine for mom. Because of the snow, they wouldn’t get dirty on the ground and could easily brush off the snow when they stood up. What? You haven’t seen anyone demonstrating an exercise in the snow before?
Today’s picture is of a museum. The light reflectis other buildings and paints the windows in abstract art. What? You haven’t seen nature in her artistic mode before?

“Back and forth questions just for a start
with interest and warmth, forget about smart.
Then tell me a story where you play a part
or a picture, a sculpture or even a chart
as long as the colors come from your heart.
Reality’s but real, it’s out there, apart
I want it through you. I want it as art.”

Answer to yesterday’s quiz:
Yesterday’s picture shows a typical sounding gong from the inside of an old grandfather clock. A metal arm would strike the outer spiral edge and cause a deep vibrating sound to mark the hour in the number of gongs.
This ”grandfather” gong has been sitting on the wall outside of our kitchen for many years. Striking the spiral with a pencil or a fork signals anyone at home that food is on the table. My children have grown up with this gonging as a call to eat. I imagine that the sound has had a Pavlovian effect on them.
But what have we here in today’s picture? Two figures prostrate in the snow. What’s going on?
Answer tomorrow.

We are living in scary, frightening and terrifying times.
But most of us are scared, frightened and terrified of things that will not happen while we’re unaware of terrible things that will.
Boo!
The picture is the underside of a scarab beetle. I’ve torn off 4 of its 6 legs to accentuate the image of a face.
Most people are frightened of a grown man who tears the legs off of insects. But as this beetle has been encased in plastic for a couple of decades and the leg–tearing was done virtually with photoshop, you should alter your opinion of my scariness.
There’s more than two sides to everything. Actually there are 360 sides to everything on a flat surface. In a 3-dimensional world (a sphere instead of a circle) everything has 360 x 360 sides and is changing all the time.
“A circle is a triangle that just kept angling.”

Hydrogen and oxygen (the elemenets of water) are, together with carbon, the most basic and essential ingredients of all life. Humans can survive about three days without water.
When the quality of the water of the world decreases, the quality of life decreases. When the sources of drinkable water in the world decrease conflicts between people increase.
The spirit of water dances. It’s not a waltz or ballet, but more like a liquid break-dance. What is it breaking? Well, hopefully, illusions about where our rulers are leading us.
