When pissing in the forest at this time of the year,
in Sweden,
you expose yourself to mosquitos.
They’re not friendly and they’re out for blood.
I was on guard,
my free hand swat-ready.

How is this possible?
I’ve now realized that there
are almost no insects anywhere.
Not mosquitos, flies, bees, wasps
or any of those other small things
that are ususally everywhere

When I discovered a fly in the house
I couldn’t figure out how to make it feel welcome,
give it some support, prepare a meal
or find a mate for it.
I did hide the fly swatter.
It disappered on its own
never once trying to irritate me.

a single wasp flew into a glass
to feast on the remains of a smoothy.

I drove over five hours, mostly on highways and the rest on single lane and country roads. Coming into town I looked at the windshield instead of through it.
”Not many bug-splats,” I said to Ami.
”So?”
”Ten to twenty years ago the windshield would have been so coverd with dead bugs by this time that I wouldn’t have been able to see to drive.”
”Ohhh,” said Ami realizing what I was saying. ”Not good! Not good at all.”
No, not good at all. How many of us are looking through the glass, not seeing what the missing insects are trying to tell us on the glass?

The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement (BDS) aims at boycotting Israel. While the vicious, degenerate and psychopathic Israelis who have been killing, maiming, imprisoning, torturing and terrorizing the Palestinians for decades should be boycotted, they are but the fist on the body of power. The USA supports, supplies and protects the beast and controls what it does and doesn’t do. Without the USA and its military-corporate complex (MIC) Israel cannot survive.
Shouldn’t American corporate power also be boycotted?
Israel is a sweetheart deal for MIC. It takes the heat off the USA and promotes its military, economic and strategic interests. People boycott oranges and Soda Stream, not McDonalds and Coke. The $billions in aid given to Israel every year goes right into the pockets of MIC without ever going through the already bloated military budget.
With all that money MIC can afford to spend $millions promoting the illusion that Israel determines USA policy. Americans are all to eager to believe this nonsense; it’s the other guys fault not ours. They complain about the AIPAC lobby but seem perfectly comfortable with their chicken-shit government officials who bath in the bribes, and hide their heads up their asses when confronted with the actual tiny size of AIPACs lobby compared to the military industries, not to mention other lobby groups. To get an idea of AIPAC’s size, look at its embassy (13 km from the White House) in Washington DC compared to the Saudis (4 km)! If the Israel Embassy was alongside the Saudi Embassy it would look like the servants quarters.
By all means boycott Israel, but don’t forget who is holding its leash.

I went to an art museum the other day.
High class joint where art wore a holy halo.
Art that said nothing artfully
was artfully displayed
and artfully repeated
in artful variations.
Guardians of art assured us
we were witnessing great art
because other guardians of art
had said so

and repeatedly.
Not a single emperor
could be seen
naked
in the artfully dressed
halls of holy halo art.
A sibling exhibition
occupied adjoining halls
saying nothing differently
but artfully
repeated in artful variations.
No emperors here either,
not a single bare ass.
The public walked along
mostly in silence
except for an insider or two
who whispered secrets
about the artists
revealed in glossy print
by guardians
who assured us
we could
if we looked carefully
and artfully enough
see genius oozing
from the well-framed art.
If you looked at the public
carefully and artfully enough
you could see them
choking a child within themselves
who was trying to scream
in a most artless manner
about the ghosts
of naked emperors.

The Sun King, Louis XIV of France, died 302 years ago. He was one of the wealthest people in the world at that time. Look at his robe! Obviously not prêt-á-porter. Today we would have a chart showing how many 1000s of people could be clothed by the cost of this one garment. Despite its luxury, it’s heavy, bulky and yet can’t prevent him from freezing his ass off when forced to travel in a bumpy, uncomfortable, uninsulated, 6-horse-powered carriage. The stockings he so proudly displays (We need another chart here.) tells us that his royal bottom need not shiver. This might be so, but try to imagine moving around in this get up! Thanks, but no thanks! His wig (Another chart, please!), the fashion of the day, designed to hide head sores indicating syphilis, often housed lice and other unpleasant tiny things.
The average commoner of today travels much faster and much more luxuriously in any cheap car than the 14th Louis could even have dreamed of. And could be entertained by a symphony orchestra during the ride, night or day in rain, snow or storm. Clothes? No royalty or noble of Louis’ day had the wardrobe of simple citizens today. Nice shoes, Lou, but I’ll stick with my runners.
The average citizen today lives better, ”richer”, in almost every aspect than kings, emperors and pharaohs of old. And, should humanity survive, the nobility of today (the billionaires and their court of millionaires) will be viewed as ”poor” sorry figures by the citizens of tomorrow.
Anxieties of defending, maintaining and increasing their wealth plagues the moneyed monarchs of today. They have as much trouble protecting their asses as Louis had. No amount of money can buy security when hot, cold and economic wars rage around the world. Their health will also be seen as endangered by future standards. Even the most pampered of them have children and grand children come into the world with polluted blood containing dozens of particles and chemicals from a contaminated environment. They don’t carry filthy wigs on their heads, but their heads are full of filthy ideas crawling around in ignorance due to their warped perspective of reality seen from the heights of their arrogance.
Although it could appear to be a paradox, the rich people of today would become much wealthier in a world where everyone is secure in their needs and wealth is as common as smiles.
Health is wealth. Security is wealth. Peace is wealth. Friendship is wealth. Freedom is wealth. Love is wealth. Respect is wealth. Justice is wealth. Nourishment is wealth. Knowledge is wealth. Love is wealth. Education is wealth. Solidarity is wealth. Laughter is wealth. Kindness is wealth. Motivation is wealth. Employment is wealth. Truth is wealth. Love is wealth. Trust is wealth. How often have we seen parents trying to protect children from hearing ”bad” language, often by alerting someone cursing that children are present. Parents also cover their child’s eyes if nudity or exposed genitals endanger their vision.
Dear parents, not a single case of brain damage or character deformation has ever been recorded resulting from hearing vulgarities or seeing any part of the human body.
On the other hand mounds of solid research testify to the harmful effects of drinking soft drinks, particularly those with artificial sweeteners. What have you done and what are you doing to protect them from these slow poisons, the zero real thing? What about junk food that encourages junk bodies?
Unfortunately, there is seldom anyone to protect the child from culturally deformed parents.
