The ”progressive” sources engaged in the speculations and analysis of the candidates are declaring their ignorance of political realities, or exposing their subservience to the masters of Mammon.

I’m looking at a tin of soup* produced by the Knorr division of the multinational Unilever corporation (140.000 employees).
The tin disinforms us stating “Beef Soup with vegetables”. That’s the overture of the deception. With 42% vegetables and 8.5% beef the label should read, “Vegetable Soup with beef”.
Let’s look at the list of ingredients to see the extent of disinformation:
Water, vegetables 42% (carrot, cabbage, parsnip, leek), cooked beef 8.5%, salt, modified starch, flavor enhancers (monosodium glutamate, disodium guanylate, disodium inosinate), beef extract, onion, aroma.
Information removes uncertainty while disinformation increases it. Notice that percentage is only given for vegetables and beef, and that “onion” isn’t listed under vegetables but separately at the end of the list. Does that increase or decrease uncertainty? I’m particularly intrigued by “cooked” beef, which implies that the soup wasn’t made cooking the beef, but that the beef was cooked separately and added to the soup. Could the beef that was cooked separately have produced the beef extract listed before the mysterious onion? I get the impression that the ingredients for this soup were made at different locations and compiled at one place to be tinned.
“Modified starch” goes beyond disinformation and lands in bullshit territory. It’s not a starch! Although it uses a starch as a base ingredient (from wheat, corn, potato, rice, whatever), it is no more a starch than a samurai sword is modified iron ore, or nylon rope modified petroleum. Modified starch is an engineered product with properties opposite to natural starch, a basic source of nourishment for cells. Modified starch does not break down or provide nourishment. It has many advantages for processing food industrially, but none for biological health. It maintains its structural integrity under the extreme heat, freezing and pressure characteristic of industrial food processing, packaging and storing, but stresses the body in several ways. No cell or organ knows how to deal with this artificial element. They all try unsuccessfully to break it down and often stimulate the production of cholesterol as a default reaction, thereby fattening the body far beyond the caloric declarations listed under nourishment values.
The process of mass-producing consumer foods removes all or most taste from the natural ingredients. This necessitates flavor enhancers. In this case we have monosodium glutamate, disodium guanylate and disodium inosinate as well as beef extract and aroma (whatever they mean by that.) Should anyone try to find out what lurks behind these technical terms they will be assured that none of these enhancers are harmful, even though disodium guanylate shouldn’t be given to young children, and disodium inosinate was removed from Codex Alimentarius Commission’s list of approved additives in 2004.
The contents of the tin can still be eaten after two and half years. That’s supposed to be comforting until we realize that the ingredients that make this possible will enter our bodies whenever we eat it.
As a final note about the effects of corporate food culture we might contemplate the innocent encouragement to recycle the tin as metal. Besides the energy costs of the recycling processes, what happens to the paper label that is chemically impregnated to retain the luminosity of the colorful graphics under severe handling conditions? And what happens to the glue on the backside? The label is about 2/3s the size of a sheet of writing paper. That’s not much, but if we multiply this by all the tins distributed throughout the world, it tallies to tons of tons of resources for this one product. (See: The Story of Stuff)
This tin of soup illustrates how corporate power disinforms our intellect, bullies our health and sullies the environment to worship the holiness of profits. As corporations also own the mainstream media, including books, magazines and films, don’t expect any nourishing information to alter the menu of the prevailing order.

A pair of jeans in the shop window seemed proud of its many tears surrounded by small rhinestones. The illusion of deceit from the new old-worn look was amplified by a suggestion of luxury from the diamond-like glass.
The phrase torn diamonds sparkled in my mind. Diamonds can’t be torn. A raw egg can’t be pealed. Wood doesn’t boil. Steel can’t collapse. New clothes aren’t worn and torn. Delete the last statement. Impossibilities can dance on broken legs in the age of deceit. Sprinkle detords on dirty actions and witness how the actions get cleaned out of sight.
Collateral damage, for instance, can wash away the murder of children. Sprinkle collateral damage on the crushed skulls, torn limbs and ripped bodies of children, mothers and lovers and watch the murders disappear.
Children, mothers and lovers are collateral-damaged to death because a suspected militant or terrorist is judged and sentenced to execution. Suspected! No apprehension. No questioning. No trial. Nothing. The victim, a suspect, is executed, along with any child, mom or lover near him, in the blast of a hellfire missile because he displayed a pattern of movement determined to be typical of a terrorist.
How is this possible? Who can justify killing kids, moms and loved-ones to kill a suspect? This seems as unlikely as tearing a diamond. Yet it continues year after year. This indicates many more detords. The UN, international law, diplomats, governments, politicians, democracy, justice … detords every one! As long as the murder of children can be disappeared under collateral damage, these prestigious words have no meaning. They are detords washing away great crimes by great hypocrites in high places.
Have you heard any leading figure in any country stand up and say that it is wrong to murder children? No! This is the age of deceit, the age of false sparkles and canned laughter, false bodies and false promises from false leaders speaking false words with false smiles …
No words can wash away the stain of infanticide on the souls of the murderers, or the shame on the legacy of those silent about it.

Shit or Champagne
100.000 people must drink sewerage water so that 1000 people can drink champagne. That’s 99% sickening stink and 1% sparkling bubbles. It doesn’t get much smellier than that even if the msm tries to spray perfume on the stink and keep the bubbles out of sight.
To give money (tax-breaks) to the super rich, the governor took money from the people and called it “saving”. Tax revenues that flowed into the accounts of corporate captains were “saved” by switching from the healthy Great Lake water to the cheaper junk flowing in the polluted Flint River. If the rich hadn’t been given millions, there wouldn’t have been cause to take (save) millions.
This is one example of structural theft that is conducted wherever corporate power sinks its economic fangs into the political landscape. Study any austerity package and witness how resources are sucked away from the people to fill the treasure chests of leeches in limousines. The results of structural theft can be seen in the widening inequality gap. The poisoning of the people in Flint Michigan is one very obvious example. You need know nothing more that the difference between shit and champagne.
Poison and Fines
Structural crimes enjoy the protection of structural injustice. Thousands of people are caged in prisons for minor non-violent crimes, some as minor as failure to pay a parking fine. Many of these criminalized poor people wind up in (private/corporate) prisons that serve as slave labor camps. Yet a man who poisoned a 100.000 people—permanently damaging thousands of children—sits in deep-leather luxury drinking chilled bubbles from a long-stemmed glass.
100% Bullshit to Ratify Economic Apartheid
Shit could not have flowed through the public water pipes had bullshit not been flowing through public channels of communication for years. The toxics now inhabiting the bodies of Flint residents were preceded by toxic disinformation poured into the minds of citizens.
The people don’t trust politicians, lawyers and bankers, but they respect and even admire the army of pundits, journalists, writers, filmmakers and experts working for them. This army manufactures and distributes disinformation that promotes lust for wealth, polishes the images of the rulers, sanctifies the institutions of control, encourages consumption, hounds truth tellers, hides essential facts, inoculates fear and obedience, and spreads the disease of hatred and hostility to legitimize policies of conquest. In other words the so-called 1%, the predators with manicured smiles, employ an army of bullshit merchants to sell the system of shit and champagne as one of freedom and democracy.
The citizens are made to drink toxic, sparkling disinformation packaged as the real thing. Disinformation injects them with fear and confusion so that they don’t rattle the economic chains keeping them in place. It drugs them with the illusion that they are incapable of managing their society where entertainment decorates the polluted mental atmosphere overcast with the smog of ignorance, fear, obedience and whining.
The army of disinformation, working in conjunction with the national administration of the corporations (the government), together with an extensive surveillance apparatus, military-grade law enforcement and judicial assassins fisted with incarcerating gavels, allow the leading predators to maintain control of the prevailing order characterized by economic apartheid, shit for the masses and champagne for the rulers.
Wake up and smell the stink!

A couple between 65-70 walk through the train. They stop beside two empty aisle seats and look around to assure themselves that no two seats can be found beside each other. He turns the palm of his free hand upward. She broadens her smile and they pack themselves into the seats. She behind him.
He reads a paper, she a book. After a while she leans forward and places an apple on his upper arm. He takes it and nods.
The apple is polished against his chest and before the first bite is swallowed he leans his head into the aisle. She leans forward.
With apple raised he nods twice.
Her juicy eyes return to her book.

Millions of people believe what they read and hear in the media. These people are propagandized. The mainstream media, msm, conveys many facts, but little information and no essential truths. It supplies disinformation to strengthen belief in the prevailing system of power based on money, and sprinkles inconsequential facts and information to sell media products and attract advertisers
The msm never, ever, asks key questions, and, consequently, can never deliver key answers.
Let’s take the case of poisoning 100.000 people with contaminated water from the Flint River. We are told that the city switched to this sludge instead of the fresh, but somewhat more expensive water, from Lake Huron, to save money. We are not told (the media doesn’t ask) why the city had to ”save” money. No one asked what priorities were considered more important than fresh water? A few sources outside the msm did mention that the city’s finances were hurting because tax-breaks were given to the super wealthy. But not even these sources asked why the super wealthy were given tax-breaks.
Why were 100.000 people forced to drink, wash and cook in poisoned water so that a few hundred vulgarly wealthy people could get even more money? Surely the price of caviar hadn’t gone up so drastically. Had the nannies, chauffeurs and gardeners demanded higher wages?
Wouldn’t it be as refreshing as a drink of pure spring water to hear a journalist ask,
”Why were 100.000 people forced to drink, wash and cook in poisoned water so that a few hundred wealthy people could get even more money?”
Of course it would be refreshing, but it’s not going to happen. The flock wont even think about it. They’ll drink their sugared, carbonated and chemically contaminated water, bury their heads in the msm and whine.
