The media megaphone shouts about race when referring to the confrontation in Oregon. Race has nothing to do with it. The race aspect is a diversion, perception management. We don’t hear about how the government screwed these ranchers several times and imprisoned two of them unjustly. The ranchers would be foolish to believe that justice can be squeezed out of the treacherous, lying and corrupt officials. The media also pours dozens of damaging names over the ranchers but not a single negative label lands on the government? Could the government people be squeaky clean good guys? Cock the rifle, ma!
The ranchers have experienced what happens when dealing with the government on government terms and they’ve seen what happens to unarmed people who confront the cops.
”Give me liberty or give me death” used to be a statement of honor.

Corridors of Power
F. Scott Fitzgerald described the Ivy Club at Princeton University as being “breathlessly aristocratic”. That was in 1920. It was no less aristocratic in 1970 when Philip Bobbitt was its president. Bobbitt can trace his pedigree to the early southern colonies in the 1600s and names his uncle Lyndon Johnson as one of his mentors.
“Public servant” Bobbitt has served as advisor to presidents Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and now Barak Obama on the Secretary of State’s Advisory Committee on International Law. He frequents The White House as if it was his local pub and seems to have a pass key to all the influential institutions of the government. He’s worked on the charter of the CIA, counseled the Iran-Contra Committee, was director for Intelligence Programs for the National Security Council, etc., etc. & etc. When not whispering in the ears of power, he speaks authoritatively as a professor of international law at Harvard, Colombia, Yale, Princeton, Oxford and the University of Texas. His fan club includes Tony Blair, David Cameron, John Howard and Henry Kissinger who described him as “the* outstanding political philosopher of our time.”
(* Note that Henry says “the” and not “an”.)
You get the picture.
What is the philosophy radiating out of this “outstanding political philosopher”? His book The Shield of Achilles (2002) spells out his philosophy candidly.
Bobbitt doesn’t believe in peace. The search for peace is “fruitless.” War is inevitable and the wise policy makers anticipate it and prepare for it so that they can shape the form it takes. Philip B regards war as a strategic struggle to legitimize the formation of state authority and establish its constitutional order. He uses the term epochal war to designate a greater conflict and exemplifies this with what he calls The Long War that extended from 1914 to 1990 (from the Soviet Revolution to the fall of the Berlin Wall). It consolidated the nation-state.
The Market-State
Now that the nation-state has been established the next epochal war is under way to see who will dominate the market-state. Where the nation-state carried the promise of material welfare for its citizens, the market-state promises opportunities. (Note that I refrain from using sarcasm about the difference between material welfare and opportunities.) Bobbitt encourages leaders to create new forms for the use of force to promote and defend the market-state. Citizens should be employed as mercenaries, civil privacy should be abandoned and surveillance should be increased.
Recognize any of these policies? Bobbitt knew that they would upset some people. “Unaided by the assurance that the political process will not be subordinated to the most powerful market actors, markets can become targets of the alienated and of those who are disenfranchised by any shift away from national or ethnic institutions.”
Are you feeling alienated by corporate rule (“the most powerful market actors”) or disenfranchised by the rulers trashing the country’s traditions and laws (“shift away from national or ethnic institutions”)? Thank Bobbitt!
But don’t be too hard on Professor Phil. When his book The Shield of Achilles came out prestigious people and reviewers calloused their fingertips writing its praises. The entire intellectual, academic and politic elite showered acclaim over this apostle of fascism. Yes, fascism. And I’m not using the word loosely.
The term market-state itself is basically a declaration of fascism. Wiktionary defines fascism as:
“a political regime ideologically based on a relationship between business and the centralized government, business-and-government control of the market place, repression of criticism of opposition.”
Philip B’s market-state goes beyond a mere business-government relationship. It subordinates the political process “to the most powerful market actors.”
“… the market-state promises a ‘virtuous’ circle to those states that copy its form and obey its strictures*. The privatization of state-owned firms brings immense capital gains to the state as it liquidates vast monopolies; this windfall supplements the savings from cuts in welfare programs…” (*Note the aristocratic expression, “obey its strictures”. Also note that public ownership is described as monopolies.)
A Monument of Twisted Logic
In an interview in 2007 on Global Axess Bobbitt claimed the invasion of Iraq was necessary because “we couldn’t predict when Saddam Hussein could acquire nuclear weapons.”
This clearly proves that a monument of academic knowledge can produce ugly twisted reasoning. If the ultimate international crime, the initiation of war, can be justified with Bobbitt’s argument, there is no such thing as international law. Many progressive brats of America are fond of complaining about the stupidity of the “sheeple”. The majority of Americans however know more about the difference between right and wrong—and crimes of aggression—than American professors of international law.
Prof. Phil excels in twisted reasoning. “It takes two states to go to war. /—/ States … may employ aggression, but they do not seek war. Rather it is the state against whom* the aggression has been mounted, typically, that makes the move to war, which is a legal and strategic act”.
(* Note the reference to the state as a person rather than a thing.)
Phil claims that the Vietnam War was “fought to stop aggression by going to war.”
And speaking of twisted logic and Vietnam, Bobbitt wrote an eulogy to former Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara in the NY Times (July 7, 2009). How did Professor Phil describe the man who initiated the bombing campaign that killed millions of Vietnamese? He characterized him as “a man of compassion”.
Many people will be surprised to learn that the intellectual elite of the empire can’t tell the difference between good and evil and worships the prospects of fascism. I suggest they read Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels. The seldom-mentioned journey to Laputa (Spanish for whore) describes the illogical scientific fools of this island in the air. Among other things, the titled fools believed that they could determine the guilt of conspiracy suspects (terrorists) by examining their turds.
Turds! Fascist shit doesn’t just happen. Its dark, hard values are produced by the constipated minds of the aristocrats of power.

The now standardized Bible verse from Luke 2:14 echoes throughout the Christmas season:
Peace on earth, good will toward men.
Other, older and more common translations state after
Peace on earth,
… to those with whom god is pleased.
… among men on whom His favor rests.
… to those who have his good will.
… to men of good will.
as well as John Nelson Darby’s 19th century version:
… good pleasure in men.
Instead of today’s general ”good will toward men” most translations stipulate that some (many/most) ”men” should not enjoy good will. No good will for those who have not pleased God, no good will for the pedophiles, the rapists, the liars, the thieves, the hypocrites, the invaders, the killers, torturers, destroyers, hate mongers, bribe-takers, Mammon worshippers, etc. The weapon dealers don’t even get past ”peace on earth.”
I’m such a grumby old man that I even suspect the sincerity of all the shops and merchants showering me with well-wishes for the season. The one that wished me an awesome Christmas, shouldn’t have bothered. I am truly in awe of this commercial extravaganza. The wish for a ”fabulous” Christmas stimulated me to write this blog. The word fabulous can trace its pedigree to the meaning of fable, fiction, lie, falsehood.
I guess I’ll simply count my blessings and enjoy the pleasures I can find. I truly wish health and happiness to all people of good will. For my sake. I find great pleasure in having healthy and happy people around me.

Have you seen the youTube video of the blacksmith verifying the official 9/11 story?
For the undying 9/11 MORONIC JET FUEL ARGUMENT
It’s both funny and sad. He tells us that the fire could have caused the steel in the Twin Towers to bend. It’s nonsense, but let us assume that he is right. The Towers didn’t bend. They collapsed. He could even have put the cool end of the piece of steel in the anvil and struck the hot end with a sledge hammer. It still wouldn’t have collapsed. Steel doesn’t collapse! The Twin Towers did.
Do yourself a favor. Don’t continue to argue with people who are fundamentally convinced that foreign terrorists caused the Twin Towers to fall! You may as well argue with a window dummy. Find people who have some doubts, be humble and give them something to think about. Don’t try to hit them over the head with a sledge hammer and collapse their world view with one blow.
The kids at psyops work on the principle,
”You can fool some of the people all of the time
and all of the people some of the time.
That’s enough!”
You can give anyone some truth to think about at any time.

Can you see the difference between a fire and an explosion? Of course you can. Can you see the difference between a building damaged by fire and one that collapses by demolition? Of course you can, unless, that is, trusted authorities tell you that the demolished building was damaged by fire. It is then possible to blind yourself to the obvious. A group of experts have just published a report to restore your sight.
The book Beyond Misinformation by Architects & Engineers for 9/11 TRUTH has arrived. The professionals, PhDs and professors behind this explanation of how the World Trade Center buildings 1, 2 & 7 came down cannot be brushed aside as conspiracy nuts. The book is sure to demolish the official version for all but the intellectually blind.

Yesterday’s post dealt with the tendency for progressive intellectuals to use horrible qualifiers when naming Isis, but not when speaking of the great war criminals of the west. I concluded by saying,
“Attaching a name to the western intellectuals/progressives/leftists who vilify the victims and slap the wrists of the weapon-peddling war criminals with politically correct criticism is easy. They’re hypocrites.”
They are, but do they have a choice? I don’t think so. I’m not defending hypocrisy, but something doesn’t fit. The case of William Blum feels like a thorn in my soul. I’ve read a lot of Bill’s work. He is too good to write, “I think they’re (Isis) one of the most disgusting collection of supposed humans in all of history.” Could it be that he didn’t write that? Could someone have handed him a script and said, “Put this in one of your articles.” That someone didn’t even have to add, “Or else!” We know when we are being offered a deal we can’t refuse.
I have no idea what actually happened or why Bill wrote that and the garbage that followed. I’m guessing. The guess explains a lot of strange behavior by un-strange people. Many clever intellectuals display astonishing stupidity in specific areas. This could be explained if they were victims of the Galileo Principle.
In the first part of the 1600s Galileo was forced to deny his own scientific conclusions about the solar system when the Inquisition found his conclusions to smell of heresy. You didn’t want to be labeled heretic by the holy Inquisition torturers wielding religious authority. Signore Galilei renounced his theory (before being tortured to do so) and accepted house arrest. In other words, the Galileo Principle (GP) is the Mafia deal you can’t refuse on a government level. No one wants to be labeled terrorist sympathizer by today’s agency hitmen with governmental authority. Torture is seldom applied, but political crucifixion can be sufficiently painful and economically disastrous. In extreme cases the hitmen do what hitmen do best.
The Galileo Principle would also explain why so many brilliant writers grovel in ridiculous explanations justifying the official version of 9/11. Chris Hedges is too knowledgeable in general and of the government in particular to muddy himself with the official story if not for the GP. Noam Chomsky seems to be Galileo personified. His (anti-)reasoning for why the government’s version should be accepted is embarrassing. Tearfully embarrassing.
This is an apology to the honorable people forced to act dishonorably or as hypocrites. As for the genuinely ignoble and the real hypocrites, see you in the Glass Zoo!

” I’ve been a journalist for about 25 years, and I was educated to lie, to betray, and not to tell the truth to the public. But seeing right now within the last months how the German and American media tries to bring war to the people in Europe, to bring war to Russia — this is a point of no return and I’m going to stand up and say it is not right what I have done in the past, to manipulate people, to make propaganda against Russia, and it is not right what my colleagues do and have done in the past because they are bribed to betray the people, not only in Germany, all over Europe.”

Did you hear about the Israeli Apartheid Week in South Africa? No. I didn’t think so. It was in March of this year. The western media didn’t think it newsworthy to mention that the children and grandchildren of the heroes of South Africa’s struggle against apartheid stated that “the Palestinians, are currently going through what we South Africans experienced – indeed, as our former President has said, even worse.”
How about the Russell Tribunal on Gaza last September? Not that either. Hmmm. The western media seems to have missed that as well. One of the witnesses, David Sheen, an Israeli journalist, walks us through the dark racist mind of typical Israelis who sound like western intellectuals speaking of Isis.
These western intellectuals/progressives/leftists not only sing in the same choir of Isis vilifiers as Ben Carson (rabid dogs) and Donald Trump (insane animals), but are louder and shriller: The Saker (crazed lunatics, liver-eating sociopaths), Alan Hart (perverted and barbaric), Jürgen Todenhöfer (death lovers) and even William Blum (the most disgusting collection of supposed humans in all of history).
The examples just given are recent. Thousands of others have cluttered the arteries of communication since the Caliphate State was declared 18 months ago. I used “even” when naming William Blum because I have supported him and can still highly recommend his blog The Anti-Empire Report or any of his five books. He’s one of the best critics of the American empire, yet here he spits disgusting Nazi-grade racial prejudice. “Supposed humans!” If they are not real humans, the “good-guys” with hi-tech super weapons can mercilessly bomb a city the “sub-humans” control even if it kills 10s of 1000s of women, children, grandparents, lovers, teachers and story-tellers. Hasn’t Bill “Anti-empire” Blum seen this script before?
Let’s assume that Isis fighters are nasty humans, bad-assed cutthroats, etc. What about the western nasty humans? What has been said about the main criminals in the world, the liars (weapons of mass destruction) who started a war of aggression (the greatest of all crimes) against the people of Iraq? The commentators who now scream horrible labels at the victims of the war criminals find no such words for the criminals themselves.
We are served a smorgasbord of shocking stories about the Iraqis who are resisting further occupation and suppression. Most of the stories originate from the lying war criminals. Nothing however can match the savagery or the destruction of the invading forces. In the first three weeks of the war between 1000 and 2000 tons of depleted uranium (DU) were used as part of the shock-and-awe tactic aimed explicitly at demonstrating such awesome firepower and shocking destruction that the population would be terrorized into submission. None of the shock-an-awe proponents were called vicious, barbaric, crazed, sociopaths, disgusting or any of the other terms reserved for the victims of these hell-firing brutes.
DU weapons are considered weapons of mass destruction that have been condemned or called to be banned by The UN Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, the Council of Europe, The European Parliament and several countries. These weapons spread a poisonous radioactive dust into the environment. FOREVER. They were used extensively in Fallujah that is now the leukemia capital of the world as well as the epicenter of deformed babies, grotesquely deformed babies. As early as 1996 the UN Subcommission “Affirmed that weapons of mass destruction and, in particular, nuclear weapons should have no role to play in international relations and thus should be eliminated” and urged all states … “to curb production and spread of … weaponry containing depleted uranium.”
The commentators of the west continue to fire horrible and degrading words at the people poisoned with leukemia and who have seen their wives, sisters and mothers give birth to uranium deformed babies, but have nothing say about the poisoners and deformers.
Have any of these commentators ever used words such as perverted and barbaric to describe the Zionist leaders enforcing Apartheid worse than that suffered by the South Africans? The masters of the North Atlantic Empire seem to have a protective force preventing intellectuals of the Empire from using impolite words. Not even Mad Maddy Not So-bright (Madelaine Albright) saying that the deaths of a half million children was worth the price to weaken Iraq got so much as a naughty attached to her name.
Attaching a name to the western intellectuals/progressives/leftists who vilify the victims and slap the wrists of the weapon-peddling war criminals with politically correct criticism is easy. They’re hypocrites.
