No Health in a Sick World

GrasGras9_0373

There’s a financial section in the news.
No health section.
There’s a sports section.
No health section.
An entertainment section.
No health section.
Why is money, games and play
more important than health?
Something is very very sick.

A friend pointed me to Harold Pinter’s Nobel Prize lecture, claiming that Pinter’s
”controlled moral outrage is palpable. His lecture is a stunningly articulate exposure of the lies and double standards of those in power which should be seen by all those who would like to understand modern politics.”

I agree completely. Pinter’s lecture.

A Kingdom Ruled by Love

sörping_0416

A Saturday rerun from 2012-12-28

There’s a kingdom without kings,
where justice walks in casual clothes,
smiles are as common as faces
and the only thing that disturbs the peace
is calm enthusiasm.

Love rules this kingdom
on the throne of truth
that tells the tale of how it was built
by people who dared to speak with vision
and listen with their hearts.

The Art of not Demonstrating

ProtestCrap
I can’t believe people are still doing this crap. The sign above was shown in a recent demonstration against the bombing in Syria. We understand the meaning, but when will they realize that we don’t ”have to” protest. We don’t have to demonstrate.

If we want to stop this crap then we—not them—have to stop it. The greed-diseased mebes won’t grow a pair of morals because we shout in the streets. Did you get that? We—like in WE the people—have to stop it. Demonstrating is most often a waste of time. And we don’t have time to waste. It’s also often stupid. We can’t ask the criminals to stop being criminal. We can’t ask the assholes to stop crapping.

Let’s assume that instead of 100 people (or 100 000) demonstrating, each of the people arranged a meeting with a few other people (friends, colleagues, family, whatever) and discussed the situation and what they could do about it. What’s more effective, 100 people demonstrating or 500 people discussing what to do ”to stop the crap”?

There’s a lot more to say about this; tons and tons in fact, but until we realize that no leader, authority or mebe is going to change the present order of things, that nothing is going to change if we don’t change it, there’s nothing else to say.

You don’t know what to do? That’s why you need to get together with other people and discuss it.

Maybe Captain Kate on Water can help you get started. Good luck!

Change for Heroes of Humanity

Layz9_9766
Einstein handed a list of questions to his secretary to prepare for an upcoming exam.
”But Albert”, she said, ”these are the same questions you gave them a few months ago.”
”I know, he replied, ”but I changed the answers.”

The story is unlikely to be true, but it illustrates an important principle. Some problems require different solutions under different circumstances. Change is a constant. Everything is changing all the time.

Obama ran for president on promises of change. He could just as well have promised weather. A young Bob Dylan sang, ”The times they are a changin.” Fact is, the times are always changing.

Without putting change in a specific context, nothing is said or done. What is to be changed to what? In our world, without changing the basic structure of society, the prevailing order, the money-oriented value system, no significant change can occur. Injustice, war and inequality will continue to eat away at the environment and the possibilities of human survival, regardless of reforms and repairs to the most obvious symptoms of decadence. If the cultural atmosphere continues to worship things and consumption while neglecting the health and well-being of the community, we’ll all march, well-dressed and well-equipped, off the cliffs of existence.

Money is not a short-cut to happiness. Happiness is a function of accomplishment, the oil in the machinery of motivation, the prize of love. Money is an excellent tool to regulate the exchange of goods and services. When you have more than you need, it’s like having more food than is required to keep you healthy. When it becomes the goal of ambition, it acts like Frodo’s ring and traps the owner in an emotional dungeon of greed.

Instead of commercial individualism we need community individualism. We need people who strive to excel at serving the needs of the people, at improving the human condition. Heroes of humanity, can you hear the call to battle?

MEBEs in Designer Clothes

Templars3_6447
Mebe, pronounced mee´bee, stands for MErciless BEast. Mebes are people in leading positions. Common psychopaths belong to a lower species.

Coining a new phrase tends to weaken a serious discussion, but I take the risk because the nature of these beasts remains hidden behind standard expressions such as leader, ruler, chief, president and such. Even negative labels like dictator, tyrant or asshole fails to capture the essence of evil at the hearts of these monsters.

The persecution and annihilation of the Palestinians in general during the past six decades and the Gaza population in particularly at the present time cannot be unknown to people in leading positions, especially those in political positions. The crimes against the Palestinians have been so intensive and extensive that the heaviest words don’t seem to weigh enough. Even genocide resounds with a dull tone considering the ferociousness with which it has been employed against defenseless poor people trapped in a crowded area. These savage crimes as well as the present ”incremental genocide” (= depriving the people of basic necessities including sufficient food and water) go unattended by the mebes, some of which are directly involved in the crimes. They quiver with indignation and rage when a single individual is quickly and practically painlessly put to death with a knife, but barely regret and quickly forget hundreds of children, mothers and old people ripped to shreds by bombs, crushed under their homes and bodily damaged beyond repair. They speak of freedom, justice and democracy the way a pedophile speaks of love.

There’s little we can do about the mebes other than inform as many people as possible about them. We certainly shouldn’t vote for them, appeal to them or try to influence them in any way. And we should absolutely not, under any circumstances, refer to them as ”our” leaders.

The Wonderfully Sad Future

FallFogPath_3007
We are dazzled by many of the marvels of technology. Rightly so. They seem miraculous even when we are aware of the engineering behind them. In a couple of hundred years, they will all seem quaint. Nanotechnology, creating structures from the atom level up, has barely begun. The scientific world no longer asks if we can build nano-computers, but when, when will we have a supercomputer in a space smaller than a dandelion seed. A nano-computer implanted in a hole in our ear not larger than a piercing will give us access to humanity’s total treasure of knowledge, including all films, pictures and music. A carnival of wonders await us. Unfortunately, we might never get there. Nor does it seem likely that we will get to greatness far more satisfying than anything technological.

Technology is but tools and instruments. What would life be like in a world without fear or want; a world where strength, health, knowledge and motivating tasks were enjoyed by everyone; where justice, truth, beauty and love were as common as leaves, sunshine, children’s laughter and lovers’ smiles? Impossible? Maybe, but definitely not as long as we stick to the present way of life. As long as the quest for money and power commands more energy than efforts to supply everyone with their needs, we need not worry about the future. There isn’t going to be one.

LONO & Hellfire Propaganda

Akotilla7_2957
The neologism LONO launches a new page on System Humanity, the story of Captain Kate on Water
(See above). Please comment on Kate’s suggestion!

LONO = Lovely Nonsense
Perception management, the hellfire missile of psychological operations, employs acts of diversion. The People’s Climate March is one such action. The LONO accompanying the action exposes the diversion. The great march walks under the heading ”To Change Everything, We Need Everyone”. Change everything? It’s sounds radical (lovely), but it’s nonsense. It says nothing.

More than that, it provides the merciless beasts (world leaders) with legitimacy and allows them to stalk the shadows and conduct business as usual. It demands ”bold action from our world leaders.” What action! The March makes not a single concrete demand while creating the allusion of democracy by implying that we can influence ”our” world leaders. If the world leaders aren’t aware of the climate situation by this time, they’re not smart enough to flush a toilet much less take bold (= LONO) action.

The March diverts from the realization that it’s ”our” world leaders who are responsible for global warming and consequently sides covertly with climate deniers. Appealing to ”our” global leaders implies that it is not the leaders who are leading us down the path of global warming. If it’s not the leaders, those in charge, it must be a natural catastrophe.

By the way, didn’t a presidential candidate campaign on promises of Change not so long ago?

This, I admit, is a superficial analysis. Compare it to the story of Captain Kate on Water. System Humanity will continue this discussion. Hopefully, with some comment input.

The Last Warrior’s Tear

LastWarrior60042

Saturday rerun from 2012-12-21

He stands ready. He knows that he will defend the values with honor and fears not death.

He is not lonely, but he is alone.
Where are my comrades, those who should be standing alongside me?

A tear of doubt is about to drop.
He fears the echo of silence
when the tear explodes upon the earth.

Leaders, Beasts and the Herd

ArrowShore_0785
3 weeks have passed since the ceasefire. Here are 3 recent articles revealing 3 truths.

1. Hamiliton shows us clearly that Israel’s persecution of the Palestinians hasn’t stopped for an instant. It shouldn’t come as a surprise. This has been going on for almost 7 decades.
After the Ceasefire by Omar Robert Hamilton

2. This article strengthens my conviction that Israel functions as USA’s foremost military base in the world, a battle station at the port of a sea of oil.
It’s business as usual between the United States and Israel

3. This is a UN report on the damages to Gaza resulting from Israel’s two-month military attack and bombing campaign. Even if you thought the attack was vicious and atrocious, you most likely greatly underestimate the savagery and the extent of the damage and destruction.
GAZA Initial Rapid Assessment

Gaza, Israel, Palestine is the focal point of world events. The focal point shows us that the political leadership of the world is either helpless in preventing naked aggression and genocide or they’re complicit in these crimes against humanity. Looking at the focal point we see merciless beasts posing as leaders.

Tomorrow, a ”great” march is planned in New York City of ”people demanding bold action from our world leaders (merciless beasts)” to do something about global warming. They are referring to the same ”leaders” who have gathered time and again to do something about global warming and have accomplished nothing. The warming gets ever warmer and the factors causing the warming increase at an accelerating pace.

Let’s hope the marchers have a good time. They will accomplish nothing. After the march and after the climate summit and after all the sunshine words in the fog, it will be back to BUSINESS as usual, that is to say, the merciless beasts will be back to hunting profits. Marchers, Palestinians and the common people throughout the world will pay for them.

The Whisper of a Shadow

Bougitski7_9798
My voice is so tiny. The shouting so loud.

Demonstration. Massive Demonstration.
Climate change. Global warming.
Same procedure as usual.
Only louder.

How many of the demonstrators are going to be drinking Cokes and other sodas? The soft drink industry is a major environmental contaminator. But no one has been encouraged to bring a flask with and for water. Global warming threatens the life of millions, perhaps everyone, but it’s too much to ask people to abstain from soft drinks.

How many of the demonstrators are going to eat at a junk food restaurant chain and contribute to corporate profits and the exploitation of underpaid workers while promoting environmental contamination through industrial farming, rivers of pesticides, gene-manipulated plants, chemically enhanced animals, palm oil … not to mention the environmentally damaging advertisements and the logistics of long distance distribution? Have the organizers recommended packing a lunch or bringing a supply of rations to the battle?

How many harmful chemicals will the demonstrators have flushed and drained into the ocean in preparation for the great demonstration? UNNECESSARY cosmetics and personal-hygiene products cause environmental damage on par with cars. I’ve seen no encouragement to come to the march clean and natural.

There’s a lot more to say, but who listens to a whisper in a storm of shouts from a marching herd.
