babble and bubble about blatant banalities

how to cooperate in dealing with the fires
how to prepare…
babble and bubble with the weight of feathers.
No one mentions environmental fever,
not even with the euphemistic ”global warming.”
Like discussing the bubbles and feathers

Can you see the dead bird?
Can you see the intellectually dead
politicians, experts and pundits?
Of course not,
no more than you can see the gases
causing the temperature to indicate fever.

expecting the authorities to do something

Can you even imagine any one authority
suggesting (ever so feather-lightly)
cutting down on playful and entertaining
emissions from combustion engines.

Humanity is racing toward extinction

William Blum states in an article written for the 4th of July,
”I’m sick and tired of this thing called “patriotism”.”
I wonder if he says, when he falls, ”I’m sick and tired of this thing called gravity.”
Patriotism is a biological response to a threat against one’s community, a primitive response as natural to biological creatures as gravity is to the laws of physics. A community can survive the death of individuals, but no individual survives the death of the community. That which Blum and many of his peers complain about is not patriotism, but the owners of society appropriating the natural tendency to defend one’s community and employing it in the defense of their own interests. This has been done for thousands of years and will continue until we see that the owners of the community defend nothing beyond their own power and wealth. Our community and theirs are two different groups in opposition to each other. When we the people, the subjects of the rulers, couple our patriot response to our own community, the community of citizens, the power of true patriotism will shatter the chains of obedience to our owners who illegitimately award themselves the right to represent and rule us by virtue of their wealth and their spectacular illusions of democracy.
Blum and those who are ”sick and tired” of patriotism are actually declaring that they are sick and tired of patriotism being debased with nationalism and used in the service of despots, tyrants, plutocrats and all manner of imperial rulers wrapped in ”patriotic” robes. Perhaps it’s time to abandon the term patriotism (defense of the fatherland) and embrace the term matriotism (defense of mother earth) for the community of humanity.
Matriots of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your illusions and obedience.

I don’t know how tall Vivian was in stature, but her intellectual strength towers over most of the pundits of our times. Reading The Economic Horror will strengthen your own intellect and save you lots of time. You will be able to spot different brands of bullshit in a few words. If you haven’t read this book, you are most likely suffering from essential knowledge deficiency.

The holy force of life and love lives within us all. Trust the youth to find their place in the struggle of the community. They want nothing more than to do their part in the common good. The basic pursuit of happiness stems from a desire to protect and nourish a healthy and secure family. Humanity is our family. Our particular family cell is just that, a cell in the body.

Epilogue
A few cancerous cells in the body of humanity try to convince us that we must pursuit money to get to happiness. That’s the perspective of greed. It’s ridiculous, but it is no easy task to strengthen the forces of compassion to defeat the small but powerful forces spreading this deadly lie. We should not forget that we struggle—together with our great family and the holy force of life—on the side of love, beauty, justice, truth and mercy.
