Trust the Real Heroes

Wagak1_9443
We’ve all had our perspective hammered by the artificial heroes of fiction. These fantasy figures with super power, speed and cleverness have entertained our imaginations since the first stories appeared in the dancing glow of open fires. Hollywood’s version of these counterfeit semi-gods have added technological attributes to their skills and painted symbols of the empire on their costumes, but they play the same part as they’ve always played in all cultures. They release pressure from the valve of frustration by symbolically defeating our oppressors and allowing justice to be victorious, if only in the form of fiction.

The word hero originated from the concept of protection, a defender who watched out for us, someone who ”had our backs” as the modern expression has it. ”Observe”, to watch over, is a cousin word. If we look around us, observe, we have difficulty seeing the heroes because (like their fictitious counterparts) they don’t reveal their heroic abilities unnecessarily. When the time comes and they are needed, they won’t run into a closet, change costume and come out flying, but they will appear in a new heroic character. Or rather, they will reveal the heroic character they’ve always possessed.

We can’t guess who these heroes are or will be. Elvi Sinervo, a great Finnish author who had hands on experience of war and four years of prison, tells us that under extreme circumstances the strong and bold person can turn out to be a whiny coward whereas an unassuming middle-aged woman can transform into a ferocious tiger. These heroes and tigers are all around us. We can’t see them now, but we can be rather certain that they are not the people sitting in high positions. Heroes need to look upwards toward the light from a solid base. Those who look down upon us from the towers of privilege merely cast their own shadow of fear.

We can’t know who the real heroes are. It might even be someone we see in a mirror.

Their strength is far greater than anything muscles can achieve.”

God’s First Day of the Second Week

Detail from the Golden Calf statue at Gossip Square (Skvallartorget) in Norrköping, Sweden.

Detail from the Golden Calf statue at Gossip Square (Skvallertorget) in Norrköping, Sweden.

The Bible tells us what God did in the six days before he rested, but doesn’t mention what he did next. As we don’t know we must guess based on the results. He must have said, ”Let the resources that I have created go the greediest among the people.”

Yes, of course this is satire, Dorothy, but it’s as good an explanation as any to explain why 10% of the world’s population owns 87% of all resources. The 1% alone owns nearly 50%. This configuration, with some variation, can be found in nearly every country of the world. On the other side of this perversion, half the people of the world have nothing, or less than 1% if you think that is something. The dance around the golden calf has become an international war dance.

That last sentence was not satire. The metaphor means that the prevailing money-oriented world generates war. War is a product of the system. Or should I say the fruit of the wild and poisonous weed of greed.

I’m sorry but I don’t seem to be able to tear myself free from these metaphors, because I don’t know how to tell you the simple truth, but as I don’t know any other way to do it, here goes.

If we don’t figure out how to create a people-oriented world, the greed-diseased winners of the money-oriented system, the people running the world, will take us all down, including themselves. It’s a war, Dorothy, a war between things and people,
between having and being,
competing and cooperating,
hate and love,
advantages for the few and health for the community,
evil and good,
a privileged few and justice for all,
an unsustainable environment and a harmonious nature,
painful extinction and a glorious future
or, simply stated,
a war for the survival of humanity.
If we can’t survive as a healthy collective, a strong family in which everyone is secure in their needs, we can’t survive at all.

On the first day of the second week, God may have said, ”Let the struggle for survival begin! If people can’t learn to live in peace and cooperation with each other in harmony with nature, they don’t deserve this world.”

Queen Puduhepa’s Daughters

Puduhepa
This is a photoshopped speculation by M.A. Ludwig of Queen Puduhepa of the Hittite nation in what is Turkey today. She reigned on equal footing with her husband, King Hattusili III, over 3000 years ago. Her personal seal is on the first international peace treaty.

The Hittite kingdom bordered on the Egyptian kingdom just about where Syria borders on Israel/Palestine today. This was about the time when the Israelites (according to the Bible) were supposed to be killing Hittite and Egyptian subjects in their respective border areas, but neither nation mentions any of this in their extensive correspondence.

Puduhepa, who was also a priestess, was one of the most influential women in the Near East. She worked for equal rights for women, a tolerant judicial system and freedom of religion. It’s a good thing she didn’t live in these days. She’d be considered a terrorist by the Western powers, an infidel by the so-called terrorists and everyone would be trying to kill her.

Luckily, her daughters are all over the world. We’ll be hearing more and more about them as time goes by.

Declaration of Moral Bankruptcy

SweetClown5_0792

I’m so fine, so clean, so cute
and so totally decadent.
Not a fiber of morality can be found in my character.
I rape justice with bright-eyed indifference
lie with elegant absurdities
and murder anyone who tries to alter my makeup.
So what?
I’m wealthy and powerful
and can do whatever I want.
Laws don’t apply to me.
I can murder in cold blood,
put a gun in the face of a defenseless man
blow his life away
kill a few others around him
and get on with my life.
No consequences.
I’m wealthy and powerful
and can do whatever I want.
Laws don’t apply to me.
And there’s nothing you can do about it
you insignificant nobody.
Continue to swallow the sweet junk
my scribes feed you
and don’t even think about chewing on tough truth.
This is a money-oriented world
and we, the winners,
the super rich
are not subject to any law.
We can do whatever we want.
We’re too powerful to fail,
too wealthy to jail.
Resisting us is to no avail.
We own the governments,
the institutions, the courts
and the channels of information.
We own the armies and the police.
Laws don’t apply to us.
We are the law.

The ICC (International Criminal Court) recently drop the investigation of the murders on the Mavi Marmara, the lead ship of the Freedom Flotilla heading to Gaza with humanitarian aid. The official ICC statement claimed the crime wasn’t serious enough to maintain an investigation. Nine defenseless aid workers murdered in cold-blood lacks ”sufficient gravity” for the ICC. Are the implications of this travesty of justice sufficiently grave for you?

True Beauty

Saturday rerun from 2012-10-08

Beauty gives. It asks for nothing.
It gives pleasure to the soul.
It gives confidence in life.
It gives hints of truth.
Natural beauty.

Not all beauty is natural.

Beauty is not always true.
Truth is not always beautiul.
But the beautiful truth is truly beautiful.

Reality Can Reason with the Unreasonable

Alukk9_0666

“The most difficult subjects can be explained
to the most slow-witted man
if he has not formed any idea of them already;
but the simplest thing cannot be made clear
to the most intelligent man
if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already,
without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him.”

Poets on Pride and Integrity

Six Great Curses

Jikkik1_0758
These are six of the curses that I’ve collected over the years from different cultures.

1- May your eye fall into your soup and you swallow it so that the next time you take a shit you can look up at yourself and see how ugly you are.
(Some of the biggest banks in the world have been caught laundering drug money. They had to pay a fine equivalent to a parking ticket. HSCB for example laundered $680 billion and were fined $1,9 billion. No one at any of the banks ever suffered any criminal charges.)

2- Your wife gossips about your inability to get an erection.
(The USA houses more people in jail than any other country. Many of the inmates working as slaves in privately-owned prisons were sentenced because of possession of marijuana.)

3- You should have sons without muscles and daughters without breasts.
(The US military budget (about 50% of all taxes) is proportionately greater than most military dictatorships.)

4- Your tongue should grow till it drags along the ground.
(The CIA, known as the army of the banksters, is one of the largest drug-running organizations in the world.)

5- May your asshole close and shit pile up within you till your eyes pop out.
(The big drug companies earn trillions on unnecessary and often harmful pills, but can’t afford to research a cure for Ebola because it wouldn’t be profitable.)

6- You embarrass God.

The Gods of Democracy

Acorn4_0641
Voting shows that you believe in democracy. Democracy (= rule of the majority) is easy between three people, but involves a highly complicated process on a national level. It requires many years and voting is one tiny part of the process. Equating voting with democracy makes as much sense as equating a kiss with the process of producing a child.

Exceptionally, for specific issues at a local level, voting can make a difference. Generally, at a national level, and especially in a highly unequal society, voting creates an illusion of democracy where none exists. It’s a spectacle put on by a tiny, vulgarly wealthy group running the show.

“Voting in a plutocracy/oligarchy
is a confession of ignorance
and a pledge of obedience
to the people in charge.”

B-shit, C-shit and Toxic Turd

RedLövTower8_0775
Yesterday I wrote about the media circus where the pundit clowns perform their Chickenshit Netanyahu act of diversion. I missed the obvious. Chickenshit means coward and that etiquette does not apply to Netanyahu. Typical for msm, the word was discussed wildly, wildly out of context. Why was Netanyahu considered to be a coward? The ”quality” news sources didn’t discuss that, only the fact that he was called a coward with a vulgar word.

Netanyahu is definitely not a coward, a chickenshit. He goes fearlessly forward murdering thousands of people, destroying homes, schools, hospitals, water supplies and mosques in total disregard of international laws or UN declarations. He bravely confiscates the homes of innocent people and steals territory to expand his own. Courageously he launches the purest lies and spreads bitter hatred. Without a quiver of hesitation he drapes himself in monumental hypocrisy. There is nothing chickenshit about Israel’s Prime Minstrel. He doesn’t even fear hell where he will surely go. Perhaps he knows that he will be a celebrity there. Even Satan will want his autograph.

So why the big show? As usual, it was a diversion, perception management. While the show was capturing all the attention, Israel and Egypt where attacking, battering, stealing and killing the already battered, damaged, weak and practically defenseless Palestinians. Again. Israel was taking bigger and bigger chunks of land for settlements and throwing people out of there homes in Jerusalem while shooting any rock-throwing teenager that they could get in their sights.

At the same time Egypt was and is tearing down 800 homes along the Gaza border displacing 10 000 people and sending them to a life of desperation. Like their Israeli brothers in crime, the Egyptians claim to be doing this to build a buffer zone as an act of defense. They might get away with that bullshit if they build the buffer zone on their own territory. Their heartless act falls clearly under the definition of the war crime of collective punishment. Thousands of civilians must suffer severely to show that no opposition to Egypt’s aggression will be tolerated.

If you read about the buffer zone crime in the msm you will surely see the following sentence with little variation: ”Egypt has the right to use a buffer zone along its borders with Gaza to boost security, but should also be concerned about the impact on local communities, the United States said Thursday.”

”the United States said”! The US is a country and cannot say anything. But no person, would put their name to that bullshit. Of course it has the right to ”a buffer zone along its borders”, but not along Gaza’s borders and definitely no right to destroy the homes of thousands of innocent families.

What has been done and is being done to the Palestinians slices through every piece of decency, justice, compassion, law, honor, moral and righteousness. The crimes are so obvious, vicious and extensive that no one in any position of authority can pretend to be anything other than money’s whore if they don’t speak out against it. No one! Not one single government official anywhere in the world, can claim any moral authority while allowing the crimes against the Palestinian people to go unopposed.

These moral hypocrites who condemn IS or terrorists or Boko Haram and any other group, but fail to condemn the tormentors, suppressors and murderers of the Palestinians are worse than bullshit or chickenshit which can at least be used as fertilizer. These people are worse than useless. They’re toxic turds, poisonous substances contaminating mother earth.
