Spring was spreading comfort and pleasure spiced with scents of the last bird-cherry blossoms, the first lilacs and everything in between. The shade was cool, the sun warm. The breeze caressed us as she would her sleeping child. Life wore an irresistible smile.
We picked nettles (Urtica incisa) and made a soup that went into the big picnic thermos. Don’t forget the seed cracker bread and the cheese! After a 15-minute drive to lake Skiren, a 40-minute walk got us to one of our favor picnics places, a natural rock bench with a grass seat and back support right above the 800-meter-long forest-lined lake.
Some people had defiled the place. The remains of a portable grill and litter stained the sanctity of this fleck of paradise.
Compared to the horrors occurring in many places around the world, this littering barely owns significance. It would be a luxury in comparison with what the people of Gaza must endure all the time. They would trade their bombed houses and streets for litter any day. Not to mention how much litter they would tolerate if it would get them medicine, clean water, dependable electricity …
Everything is connected. The litter in the forest is connected to the deprivation in Gaza and other crimes, conflicts and atrocities around the world. The people who walked to “our” picnic place, must have some concept of the beauty of nature. Why would they come there? Why leave the scrap behind?
Are people who don’t care about their own environment going to care about people being deprived and killed on the other side of the world? They don’t understand the ground beneath their feet. How are they going to understand the forces shaping our world? The litter is depressing because it highlights indifference to the community. If the people aren’t aware of the relationship between humans and nature and between the individual and the collective they won’t pass any general knowledge tests and they can’t be counted on to do their part in the struggle for a just world.
Everything is connected. I can feel the connection between criminal banksters too big to fail, and common people too ignorant to respect nature and too me-me-meey to take consideration to the other members of their community.

Humanities chances of survival grow weaker, slimmer and dimmer for every day.
The sick environment is one indication. Global warming is a euphemism, a nice sounding term, for environmental fever. The environment has a fever. Something is not well. Fever is the most common symptom of an infection or an inflammation. What is causing the fever? The environment is twisting and turning, sweating and shivering in extreme weather conditions. We know for certain that the increasing output of gases such as Carbon and Methane affects the environment the way increased smoking affects a lung patient. That’s our environment. Humanity has a fever! It must be cured.
We can start by eliminating unnecessary causes of gas emissions. Humanity will survive without combustion engine (CE) motor racing. Painful? Yes. Necessary? Yes. But will humanity survive without the talent, know-how and intelligence in the racing community? Let’s hope we wont have to find out.
There’s a lot of talent and know-how in the racing car community. You’ll bump into or pass more engineering talent per square meter at a racing competition than you will on any campus in the nation. Imagine these people working on alternative forms of transportation attempting to use reliable energy sources such as the sun, wind, batteries, potato skins, whatever. Let them figure it out. They have the ability and intelligence.
Motor sports is going to have to kick its addiction to combustion engines (CE). The transition to new low-energy vehicles should go quickly with realization that this is pioneer territory. Here’s the future of transportation. It’s open country out there. The new racing vehicles using sun power and/or batteries are attracting ever larger audiences and wilder solutions, everything from self-powered bike-like vehicles to vehicles driven with liquid air.
These former employees of CE racing should find employment in firms and institutions developing—or racing—new forms of transportation. We trust these professionals to help transport us into the future.
I’ve used motor sports as an example of unnecessary gas emissions. There are many more. Not to mention the giga-giant of them all, the military. Eliminating the military in the world would be enough to break the fever in the environment. Even more so if the resources that went into weapon production were diverted to the production of tools, instruments, machines, gadets and toys to support and enhance the health of humanity.
Should humanity survive its present sickness, the possibilities for future transportation will make our present model look like a candle compared to stadium floodlights. That’s in the future. You can see it from here.

A young woman sits in a cafe reading a newspaper.
The shawl wrapped around her head suggests cancer,
chemotherapy, baldness.
The sounds of the city can be heard
but she’s not listening.
The words of the newspaper reach her eyes,
but she’s not reading.
She holds herself just above the sick area.
The dangerous place.
The place where her womanhood betrays her.
A reflection from a figure in black seems to watch her.
He’s not. No one is.
She’s just another little candle
waiting for the night.
“Hope can be the coward’s whore.”

I read about group protesting drones. Why protest against drones and not apache helicopters loaded with hellfire missiles and equipped with 50mm rapid-fire computer-aimed cannons? What about the “standard” bomber? Is its payload any less destructive and murderous than any other airborne weapon? The way to peace can start by making the world a no-fly zone, no weapons from the sky. This may appear to be an impossible goal. How are we going to stop the international (USA) war machine with our meager resources?
We have the resources, valuable resources with energy and intelligence. We have people. The great majority of the people want peace, agree with NAW and approve of a no-fly world. This genuine desire among the people can be channeled into a decisive force. The energy of a united people cannot be measured and is not easily resisted. Trust the people. Give them your support. Help them unite. We want peace and we aim to get it. I don’t know how—yet—but I trust that the more people who support this goal of a world without airborne weapons can come up with many doable ideas. Trust the people, trust yourself, our most valuable resource.

No matter who you vote for you vote for the prevailing order. The prevailing order is and has been killing, maiming, destroying, stealing, torturing, lying, impoverishing, imprisoning and exploiting for decades. Millions of people have been murdered by the politics of the prevailing order. It doesn’t change with elections. Voting nourishes the prevailing order. Electing not to vote denies the legitimacy of the prevailing order. We want a better order, one that will benefit everyone.
Humanity can unite on its humanity. They share an enormous treasure of humanity. Humanity strives for the health of humans. Humans strive for the health of humanity.
What do we humans want? We want peace, friendship, love, work, shelter, clothing, electricity, clean water, fresh air, nourishing food, personal security, communications, kisses, play/games, entertainment, dependability, honesty, education, justice, beauty, laughter, respect, recognition and truth. This is what the great majority of humans want. Isn’t it?

A lot of talented and knowledgeable people populate the field of weapons production. This talent and knowledge could be liberated to create technology beneficial to humanity. I’m sure the engineers and technicians and those others involved could come up with 1000s of wonderful ideas, tools, instruments, gadgits and toys to help, improve and amuse the people.
Were humanity in charge of humanity, there would be no need of weapons. But with a tiny wealthy elite in charge of humanity, the desire for weapons is impossible to satisfy.
The people are fully competent to handle their dealings and differences without violence. They can talk to each other human to human. We want the same things. Regardless of the personal experience, beliefs, language and culture every human has humanity in common with every human. We need to respect any intellectual baggage or cultural attribute a person carries with them. That’s their thing. Humanity is our thing together. As humans we are equal.

No weapons from the air, not bullets, bombs or missiles from helicopters, planes or drones. That’s a start. We want peace! Get it? We’re not asking. We want peace and we aim to get it. No weapons from the air. Innocent people pay too high a price. We stand with the innocent. We stand with the great majority of humanity. We want peace. We can start by eliminating aggressive, civilian destructive weapons such as those pouring death and destruction from the skies.
NAW – Make the world a no-fly zone.
To become a NAWior, you need not register, pay a fee, submit passwords or supply any information. But you must spread the word. That’s it!
Peace. The great majority of the people of the world want peace. That’s the will of the majority. Peace would be democracy if the will of the people were enacted. We get instead more and more violent conflicts and war crimes.
We, the people want peace. You who call yourselves our representatives are either incompetent or corrupt. Where’s our peace? I know it’s not in your hands. I therefore don’t recognize your legitimacy. We want peace, you’re giving us war.
I wasn’t serious when I asked, “Where’s our peace?” I no longer ask anything of you. I tell. We want peace and are determined to get it. We’re on our way.
I’d like to recommend a few minutes reading, The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/ This is our law and all of those who trample on human rights should be marched off to prison. Read it. It’s the “common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations”. It’s our law. It’s the people’s law. Read it and become an authority on universal human rights. Then judge this law against the policies of the prevailing order. We who hold the human rights to be wholesome and necessary for a peaceful world are appalled by the comparison.
—
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY proclaims THIS UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS as a common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations, to the end that every individual and every organ of society, keeping this Declaration constantly in mind, shall strive by teaching and education to promote respect for these rights and freedoms and by progressive measures, national and international, to secure their universal and effective recognition and observance, both among the peoples of Member States themselves and among the peoples of territories under their jurisdiction.
—
We seem to have been going in the opposite direction since the adaptation of the universal rights in 1948.
John Lennon’s famous song Give Peace a Chance is flawed by the word “give”. Who is supposed to “give” peace a chance? John would be approaching 75 if he lived today. He might write a new song entitled along the lines, “Let’s Make Peace, NAWiors!”

Obama followed Bush, continued his politics and intensified them. It’s not a question of who was better or worse. It’s the same politics, different managers, business as usual. The puppets behind the pulpits have no say in forming the politics of the nation/empire. They dance to financial strings. We often don’t see who is holding the strings but the flow of money indicates that the wealthiest people, who keep getting wealthier, have fingers in the game.
We should seriously consider the presidential elections in the USA, along with similar elections in most other countries, as a show. Seriously. It is entertainment where the whole nation plays the cast in a reality TV contest to determine how many are willing to take part in the election circus? It will have zero effect on actual politics.
As the American Empire weakens, conditions and politics will continue to get worse. Typical for an empire in decline. This puts pressure on everyone. Without unity among the people, they will suffer this pressure individually. That will be very hard to carry, and, at times, too heavy. United the people can determine the direction of the pressure as well as win confidence about what united strength can accomplish.

The politicians are for sale. Everyone knows that. Feel free to call bribery lobbying if it makes you comfortable. If you have any doubts that politicians dance to the tune of economic power, stop reading this post. You’re not going to understand it anyway.
Russell Brand is one of my favorite people and comedians. I agree with almost everything he stands for. I don’t agree with him however taking a position on the British elections. He claimed the other choice is horrible, therefore we should vote for people we neither like or trust. Thanks, but unsubscribe me from that list. I’m not voting for people who I neither like or trust because the alternative is worse.
This line of reasoning where we are encouraged to vote for the lesser of two evils pops up in all the elections in all countries claiming to be democracies. It is played over and over again by different pundits. It’s a broken loop. Russell was referring to the British elections. W.J. Astore of The Contrary Perspective sings the same tune, “Republican Presidental Candidates Are Scaring Me”, for the American elections.
I’ve named Russell and Astore because these two people give the impression that they understand what’s going on and are highly critical of the prevailing order. Despite their awareness they prove themselves clueless about the structure of power and who does or doesn’t do what.
There is no alternative between the parties. The elections are a political circus to decide who gets to take the bribes of power. We’re not needed in that parade. Power is going to choose its administrators one way or the other. They need us to give the impression that we have some choice. We don’t.
This is illustrated in the Obama – McCain election. The public was so sick of Bush and his neocons that a dead cat could have won an election against the Republicans. Despite Obama’s explict promises, his politics have been a continuation of Bush in all aspects. Obama can charm and charm but can’t hide the fact that he not only does Bush, but exceeds him in many departments. How about the amount of unarmed black men killed by police under Bush as compared to Obama’s watch? What’s that all about? Under the same watch black people have been thrown into prisons as never before. Obama’s attack on Russia and threat of nuclear war seems to be following the neocon playbook. There is no election alternative.
BTW, if more black people were killed and imprisoned under Obama’s presidency, I’d suggest the ladies buy bulletproof bras and leggings if a woman grabs the presidency.
It’s not about race, religion or feminism. These are tools of the rulers to keep the people divided. It is, as always, a question of power and money. The last thing the rulers want is to face a united people. Keeping the races apart and antagonistic to one another serves the interests of the people in power.
Keeping the races apart and antagonistic is also good for business. If one group can be suppressed, it holds down salaries for everyone. A united action by all people—regardless of race or culture—could cause considerable damage if directed against specific businesses.
A people striving to unite have no interest in office gossip among power’s administrators. A united people don’t ask for a change, they decide what changes are needed and work on implementing them.
The people either get it together or go under. That’s our only choice. We either do or die.

Any source dealing with American presidential candidates plays a part in the great scam of democracy. The candidates, including the winner, are of no significance for the politics of the nation (empire). Decisions are made in boardrooms and the informal meetings of financial giants, not in government offices. Yet even publications wearing a progressive face bark at dealings of the candidates as though the formalities of government had significance. It doesn’t.
Every congressperson was bought and paid for before they were elected to office. They couldn’t have been elected without the financial backing of big money movers. The backers expect to be compensated for their support. Once in office the lobbybribing begins immediately. Officials weigh political strength and economic gain on scales held forth by lobbyists. The government is owned by corporations. Bribery and corruption are legal. Why should anyone care who wins the game to administrate of the demands of the 1%?
For the rulers, we are troublesome and useful, for us, they are insignificant and powerful. We need not concern ourselves, should not concern ourselves, with the political pageantry high-stepping across the media playing field to divert attention from the powers steering the empire. We know that the politicians are lying prostitutes.* They tell us what power wants us to hear. Ignore them! Don’t listen, watch or read their “news”. It’s guaranteed to keep you distracted and ignorant.
Whatever happened to a dream of a peaceful world. Conflicts spread and intensify everywhere. Violence erupts and refugees pour into any place accessible. Fear snakes its way through the community. The puppets dance and wiggle their limbs and speak to us with words written by “professionals”.
Any source dealing with American presidential candidates proclaims ignorance of political realities, or are working for the commanders of the realities.
*(Not to be confused with honest prostitutes who don’t pretend to be what they are not.)
